The digital security of users is a paramount concern and has been a priority at every step of the planning process. While no platform is completely secure, Movements.org has gone to great lengths to protect your personal privacy. Movements uses open source and audited code with its own code which is available to anyone upon request. The platform uses multiple authentication methods to ensure that the identity of its users are protected. As technology continues to evolve, we advise all users to exercise caution on any platform to protect against sophisticated hackers.
When a new user joins Movements, they may choose to remain anonymous on the platform. Once registered their digital presence (social media accounts, websites, bio) is reviewed and authenticated. The more information added to your profile, the higher your Movements Rating will be. The rating system operates on a simple and concise zero through five star rating system.
Zero stars indicates that we have confirmed the email of the account holder and they have been given access to Movements. Five stars indicates a fully authenticated profile, with a confirmed online presence and have undergone an interview with Movements.
Postings may contain anything that addresses human rights issues. For example, requests for advice, contacts, training, services or knowledge are all welcome to be shared using Movements.
We are currently unable to process requests for equipment or other hardware donations that would need to be shipped internationally or involve import/export restrictions. Also, please note that, Movements does not support requests for monetary donations or monetary transfers.
Posts that incite violence, terrorism, xenophobia or intolerance will not be allowed. Any individuals who advocate for or belong to organizations that advocate terrorism, racism, or violence are not welcome to post. Movements reserves the right to delete any and all posts, including those it deems offensive or inappropriate.
